G2 reviewers use Restream for podcasts, webinars, and company streams, and single out the setup, guest invites, and recording downloads. The criticism is about missing features (polls, a green room), AI clips that need work, and settings that are hard to find in the dashboard.

Restream: Solid, Complete, Stable Multistreaming with Intuitive Interface

Well, I stream every single of the year - except sometimes for new year's eve and Christmas and it has never failed. What else could I expect? It's an integral part of my job and part of my living. Whenever I support they are avaialble. Pros: Restream is the most complete platform out there for both multi-streaming and live shows in general. The integration with several platforms makes it perfect for syndicating for different destinations while the modular pricing system makes it fair. The stability and absence of issues or glitches during the shows is notable! The only thing that has ever happened to me was the initial screen once didn't come back to its orignal state, but it was resolved wuickly by support and since I was not live it was no issue at all - probably my mistake. Interface is pretty intuitive so no comments are necessary here. Clippings made by AI could be more a little more comprehensive but it is ok, I guess. I'm not heavy user of clippings. Cons: There is nothing really to dislike. Probably the only feature that they could improve would be the Studio. But dislike is a too strong word. I prefer to say that they could lead the market instead of being at same level with its competitors. There are a few features that could be implement such as green room, polls and giveaway tool.

Powerful Multistreaming Made Effortless

Restream makes connecting with different platforms easy, allowing me to stream on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube simultaneously. The multistream, layout, and high-quality video options save me time, simplify my work, and help extend my foundation's reach efficiently. Pros: I love that Restream makes connecting easy with different platforms, allowing me to stream to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube simultaneously, and I look forward to doing it with TikTok too. The multistream feature is fantastic, as is the layout—it’s really easy. The quality of the video is superb, with options for high resolution. I appreciate the ability to make small clips from long videos, which really helps me save time. Having everything on a web platform is a huge plus because it doesn't use my computer's power or capacity since it’s in the cloud. It simplifies things for my team, as I don’t have a lot of help, and it makes my tasks and back-office work run very smoothly. The platform is very easy to set up, more straightforward than others I've tried. Cons: I find the connection with Instagram a hassle because you have to get a key and set up the video first, which makes it cumbersome. Also, sometimes the clips get stuck, which has happened to me twice. I had to call the help desk support, although they were great and even gave me a bonus clip because of the issue.

Restream Revolutionized Our Multi-Platform Broadcasting

I use Restream to stream to all my social media pages easily, solving bandwidth issues while traveling in my motorhome. It lets me stream to multiple platforms and provides great fallback recordings if I have issues on my end. Pros: I use Restream to broadcast to all my social media pages, and it's very easy to use. Restream is perfect for this. It has solved bandwidth issues for me while traveling in a motorhome, as it allows me to stream to multiple platforms without losing signal quality. The recordings feature is a terrific fallback if any issues occur on my end. I also love the feature for making short clips; it's very exciting and makes a huge difference. Setting up Restream was very easy, and even when I had a question, customer support was amazing, answering quickly and clearly. Restream is one of the highest quality, solid, and fully functional systems I've ever used, and I rate it a very solid 10. Cons: Ha! Really? There is NOTHING to dislike!

User-Friendly Interface with a Seamless, Professional Broadcast-Style Stream

The provisdion of Local Recording gives me an enormous content library from each stream. The local recordings have been oming through in superb quality and they allow me to drop them into the oevrall replay in post if the picture quality of the stream has dropped anywhere, likewise with audio. It also allows me to cut high quality clips to compliment the full replay. The benefit is my streams and post stream clips all have superb production quality esoecially after passing through DaVinci Resolve for editing and grading. Pros: The interface is extremely user friendly and simple to navigate. With a 50 year background in film and television I especially like that it provides a seamless, simple to use, broadcast style stream which comes across looking extremely professional. Cons: It would be extremely useful to allow more than 8 uploaded videos clips for a stream without having to upgrade. It seems this should be accessible as there seems to be no limit on clips in terms of length, which is a good thing. However I would prefer to see length limits rather than limits on number of clips.

Restream Is the Best—Simple $$, Guest Lives, and Saves Me $20/Month

Going live on multiple social media platforms at the same time with half the money compared to what's out there. Pros: I love using Restream. It's very simple to setup and connect social media accounts. I have been doing lives on Facebook Instagram TikTok and YouTube for years and used to use another streaming program. I have also gone live with guests and we all have loved it Restream is THE BEST out there. It's simple and I'm saving a minimum of $20 a month by using Restream. Cons: Honestly I like everything including customer care.

Excellent platform, fast support, excellent resources, connect with friends

as I mentioned earlier, my suggestion was a timer for time control, which was very well included, increasing the control of the participants in the live sessions Pros: Excellent platform, quick and efficient support, very objective, Cons: Currently, I am very satisfied with the features. I made a suggestion about the addition of a "timer" and it was implemented. I am very grateful and satisfied. I am an active 73-year-old senior and a weekly user of this platform, as it offers me contact with friends and allows me to share my professional life experiences.

Restream Simplifies Multistreaming With Unified Chat and Great Support

Restream makes it easy to manage a live stream across multiple platforms without having to juggle them. Pros: Restream makes streaming to multiple platforms easy with an easy to read chat app combining all the platforms. This makes my workflow simple to setup, and I've rarely had any fuss with it. It's priced well for what you get over the course of a year as a heavy user, really helping me to grow my audience on YouTube and Twitch. When I have had questions the support staff was very quick and helpful. Restream has really helped me to make my game streams stand out. Cons: I could use a few more options in the chat display as most offer a white font. With a little tinkering in CSS you can adjust this, but could be easier. I'd also like to see some AI edited shorts integration included with the subscription instead of it being entirely separate.

Reliable, Great Value, and Customer Service That Truly Helps

Restream solves the issue of delivering our content to multiple locations at once. They also provide a solution for our occasional need to do simulated live streams. This allows us to simplify our internal workload and focus more on the content and less on the delivery. Pros: Restream has been consistently reliable at a great price point. I think I most appreciate their customer service. It's not hard to talk to a real person and have them walk you through until the problem is resolved. Cons: For the most part, I have not experienced pain points with Restream during the time we've used the service. Any problems have been due to technical issues that were outside of either of our control. But if I had to pick something, I would say that it can be a little hard to find certain features in the dashboard. I often have to poke around a bit to find out how to access the Chat feature that's used to monitor our stream interactions.

Easy-to-Use Streaming Platform with Helpful Support.

There were times when the scenes didn't retain the new input and that still happens from time to time. I figured work arounds on my own. The new clips service needs to add more platforms for multi-streams but I expect them to do that. I would love to have the option to post clips to Apple and Spotify. Pros: The interface is easy to use and navigate. And the tech support is always helpful even if the answer isn't what I want. That being said even when the answer is not what I hoped for, they look into to adding features and often do. The new features, for the most part, are improvements that help make my streaming easier. Some of them take time to adjust to, but once I get the hang of them I grow to like and depend on them. I used to use Zoom to stream/podcast and Restream is so much better. Internet-based software can be tricky when web service is spotty, but since I use an ethernet connection and a high speed service, it really is not an issue. Pricing can be picky for some, but when compared to other services, I thin Restream offers the most bang for the buck. And when others are increasing their prices, Restream is keeping things affordable. I use the top end subscription, right below the highest level and it does all it says it will do and more. While I would like the connections to Apple and Spotify to be built in like other platforms, the ability to multiteam all at one time is pretty slick. I really don't use other integrations since the ones Restream offers hits the ones I use. When they added Rumble I was very pleased. The newest offering is the AI clips feature and I'm loving it so far. I wanted to get into the short reels market and now I'm doing it more and more. My channels are growing from it so my reach to more followers is a direct result of that service. Restream seems to handle heavier loads well for the most part, although I haven't stress-tested it too much. I have contact with other streamers and I hear their issues with other services and I don't have those issues with Restream. I started using Restream when I and they were growing and even though others want me to switch, I intend to grow with them. It's a been a good partnership so far, one I don't intend to end. Cons: Their tech team is small for the most part and that could be an issue down the road. There are times when they are catering to streamers that don't match my needs, but I can hardly blame them for doing that. I retired from customer service jobs over the last part of my work experience and I know what good service looks like. There were a few times when I had to work through experiences like that, however the vast majority of times are good ones. It took longer to add some features I requested, but they added them eventually.

Effortless Multistreaming with Top-Notch Studio Features

Restream handles livestreaming across social channels, manages chat in one place, makes streams look professional, allows multistreaming to platforms like LinkedIn and YouTube, and uses AI to create clips effortlessly. Pros: I love using Restream for livestreaming webinars because it practically handles everything for me, from the livestream itself to connecting with all my social channels and dealing with chat messages. The studio feature is amazing and allows me to host professional events with scenes and have guests on. Multistreaming is perfect for streaming across multiple channels like LinkedIn, X, and YouTube simultaneously. I find the AI clips feature really useful for getting additional content with no extra effort. Additionally, I really appreciate that I can stream live events to multiple channels at the same time while having all the chat messages aggregated into one. The initial setup of Restream was pretty straightforward, and even though I only used the support team twice, they were super fast and useful. Cons: Nothing

Streamlined Broadcasting Across Multiple Platforms

Restream lets me broadcast across multiple channels without the bandwidth issues or limitations of vMix, simplifying integration. It's easy to connect platforms, and clients can log in to stream without sharing direct access. Pros: Restream is one of the cost-efficient private stream hosts for embedding a white-label stream on your website. I also find Restream quite simple to use and integrate with different platforms. It allows my client to log in and stream to their accounts even without providing their direct credentials, which makes it really convenient. Their monthly packages make it possible to use for one-off projects. Cons: The lack of stream analytics or live chat in the embedded streams makes it difficult to use in a professional environment. It would be really helpful to have the ability to start pushing an RTMP stream to Restream without it automatically going live. I wish there was a 'go live' button much like YouTube and other platforms have by default. Additionally, I had trouble initially because I was trying to connect an account that had manager access to a YouTube channel but wasn't the dedicated channel itself, and Restream wasn't able to detect the managed account. This meant we had to sign in through the original account, which required my client to do some extra work.

Restream: Reliable for Live Streaming, Needs Better Update Communication

I use Restream to stream my Ministry and live shows, making it easy to share teachings and scriptures while allowing interactive participation through comments and chat. Pros: I think using Restream is a great option for tracking and handling podcasts or live streams and shows. It was a wonderful thing to have the option to stream BIBLE teaching, and I'm able to stick comments or chat into the posts directly during live sessions. I enjoy that I can teach using it, like when discussing scriptures or teachings. Also, I love being able to send email links to my wife and other family members so they can join the live stream seamlessly. Restream allows us to broadcast live across multiple platforms, including my all channels and her Facebook & her YouTube, and I really like that feature. Cons: So one of the things that I think ReStream can do better at is emailing a lot of update options. I really wish they would send out an email to let you know something is new. Besides the fact I see it new when I get up on Sunday morning. That means they probably do these update changes on the weekend. Then I get up on Sunday morning, start getting everything together. Something is not where it used to be at. It's not really hard to find it. But I mean, you get used to a flow. Without, announcement something that's changed. Even though it might be a good or they might think it's great. Because its their idea, but it's not all the way fluent or flowing sometime.
